Watch: Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant share a fun moment, exchange sunglasses on-field
NEW DELHI: A lighthearted moment unfolded between Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant during the third day of the first Test between India and Bangladesh in Chennai on Saturday. As the day’s play was in progress, the cameras caught the two exchanging sunglasses on the field.
The memorable exchange took place in the second innings of Bangladesh’s batting. Kohli took off his sunglasses and handed them directly to Pant.Without hesitation, Pant removed the pair he was already wearing and put on the ones given to him by Kohli.
In a reciprocal act of camaraderie, Pant then offered his own sunglasses to Kohli. The former Indian captain accepted them and put them on, further emphasizing the significance of the moment shared between the two teammates.

Talking about the match, Bangladesh found themselves in a precarious position at stumps on the third day, having lost four wickets for 158 runs while pursuing an imposing target of 515.
The Indian team had earlier declared their second innings at 287/4, thanks to impressive centuries from Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill, who scored 109 and 119 respectively. This left Bangladesh with an uphill task, needing another 357 runs to win the match.
Ravichandran Ashwin, who had already scored a hundred in the first innings, continued his remarkable form with the ball, claiming three wickets for 63 runs.
His efforts further dented Bangladesh’s hopes of staging a comeback in the game. Amidst the chaos, skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto stood tall, remaining unbeaten on 51 at the close of play.
