I had worked with Vijay sir in the film Thuppakki (as an assistant), and he used to insist, ‘I will go to the sets only when I know the entire script. Whether it’s good or bad, it doesn’t matter, but I have to know the entire script before I go to the set. This was a few years ago, I don’t know how he is now. Sai Pallavi always likes to read. In our case, he read it, and then we had a statement.

Rajkumar worked with Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi on Amaran, which proved to be a critical hit at the box office. Earlier, he had directed the film Rangoon starring Gautam Karthik.
