Srinagar records coldest night of season with minimum temperature of minus 2.1 degrees Celsius
Night temperatures dropped further across Kashmir on Friday as Srinagar recorded its coldest night so far this season, at minus 1.2 degrees Celsius.

Srinagar: Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, and several other parts of Kashmir recorded the coldest night so far this season with night temperatures hovering below zero.
According to officials, the night temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 2.1 degrees Celsius – 1.5 degrees below the previous night’s minus 0.6 degrees Celsius – the lowest of the season so far.
However, Shopian was the coldest place in Kashmir where the mercury dropped to minus 5.5 degrees Celsius.
The weather department said the weather will be generally dry till Friday evening, after which there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall at isolated places in the higher reaches till December 1.
