They are generally made to cut down the extra effort required to make the sides, as they are stuffed with veggies. The paratha recipes have been improvised to include spices, and namak mirch paratha is one such recipe.

I am a huge fan of stuffed paratha recipes and make them for my dinner or lunch boxes. The main reason is that it generally does not need extra sides like roti or chapati. It reduces the cooking time as it can easily be served with a condiment like a pickle or plain yoghurt. The namak mirch paratha may need some sides as it is made with basic ingredients. This is something that depends upon individual preference. I do not require any sides for this recipe, but you may serve it with any leftover curries or dry sabjis.

Furthermore, I would like to highlight some tips, suggestions and variations for a perfect namak mirch paratha recipe. Firstly, I have used dry pudina or mint powder, which can be replaced with other spices. The best alternative is to use fennel, ajwain and even kasuri methi. Secondly, I have shaped the paratha into a triangle shape, which should be ideal for this paratha. You can also shape it into a round or even a square shape. Lastly, you can roast the paratha until crisp and serve it as a snack with tea or coffee. If served for lunch or dinner, make it soft and not crisp.
