Some music has an irresistible charm that makes your feet tap before you even realise it. A recent incident aboard an Air India flight captured this perfectly when a Mumbai-based musician broke into an impromptu dance to the airline’s signature track. The video has since gone viral, drawing a response from Air India itself.
Kailasa, the band led by Kailash Kher, shared the clip on Instagram with the caption, “Whenever Air India plays this banger.” The video, showing Kailasa band member Paresh Kamath grooving to the tune, has garnered over 3.7 lakh views and counting.

The video sparked a variety of reactions, but the highlight was a comment from Air India itself. They chimed in with, “That’s how we roll in the skies – glad you are vibing with it!”
Other viewers shared their thoughts too. One user described the music as “The sound of home & warmth,” while another said, “This song helps me relax—very calming.”
Not everyone was a fan, though. Some offered feedback on the boarding music, with a few admitting they don’t enjoy it at all.
“Dear Air India, while I appreciate the effort to create a memorable inflight experience, the take-off and landing song played on a loop is, unfortunately, memorable for all the wrong reasons. It’s more endurance test than melody. I’ve found myself choosing other airlines where possible, partly to escape this auditory ordeal. Hope you take this feedback in the spirit of improvement,” wrote a user.
The track in question is the result of a collaboration between Shankar Mahadevan, percussionist Taufiq Qureshi, and lyricist Prasoon Joshi, alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in London. According to the airline, the track captures “the sound of a bold, vibrant, and confident India.”
