Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader in Gujarat Nikul Singh Tomar has claimed that he has been appointed as the state president of the party. Tomar, councilor from Kubernagar ward in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, said he has been appointed as the chief of NCP’s Gujarat unit by NCP working president Praful Patel. On Wednesday, Tomar also held a meeting at the party office in the city and made appointments in various districts of the state. Tomar said that he is from Ajit Pawar faction of NCP. He also claimed that Jayant Patel alias Bosky, whom he has replaced as president, is in the US and it is not decided whether he will join the Ajit Pawar faction of the party or the Sharad Pawar faction.
