New Delhi: A Team Allegedly belonged to the Enforcement Directorate attacked While conducting a raid related to a cyber crime case in Delhi on Thursday.
According to officials, an additional director of the investigating agency was injured in the attack in Bijwasan area of the national capital.
“The High-Intensity Unit (HIU) of the Enforcement Directorate today launched a massive search targeting a top chartered accountant allegedly linked to a large cyber crime network operating across India,” the agency said in a statement.
“The raids follow an investigation that has revealed the laundering of illicit funds generated from thousands of cyber crimes, including phishing scams, QR code fraud and part-time job scams,” it said.
Authorities said five people attacked, one of whom fled.
The Central Investigation Agency has registered an FIR in this case against the accused including Ashok Sharma and his brother.
