New Delhi: The Election Commission on Tuesday announced the dates for by-elections to six vacant Rajya Sabha seats from four states.
Voting will be held on December 20 and counting of votes will begin at 5 pm on the same day.

As per the notification, the last date for filing nomination is December 10 and the last date for withdrawal of candidate names is December 13.
On Saturday, the Election Commission announced the results of by-elections held on 48 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats in 15 states. The BJP and its allies won most of the seats, while the Congress emerged victorious in both Wayanad Lok Sabha constituencies in Kerala and Nanded in Maharashtra.
In the assembly and by-elections, BJP and its allies won the most seats in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan. Trinamool Congress (TMC) claimed all six seats in West Bengal, while Congress won a total of seven seats, including all three assembly seats in Karnataka.
