The lowest temperature of this season was recorded in Pune on Wednesday morning and the mercury reached 9.9 degrees Celsius. This was the third consecutive day that the city recorded a significant drop in temperature and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the trend would continue for the next few days.

On the other hand, day temperatures are high with maximum temperatures recorded around 30 degrees Celsius at most places. This difference in day and night temperatures has also contributed to the cold factor in Pune.
